A Show of Hands Event

Join Lou Bachrodt Automall and Cumulus Rockford in supporting our troops by participating in the "A Show of Hands" event. Simply decorate a hand that will be used as part of a billboard display and bring it, along with a $1 donation for Operation Homefront, to Lou Bachrodt Automall on Saturday, August 6th between 10am-2pm.

Handprints are available to be downloaded in advance at the websites of the stations of Cumulus Rockford (97zokonline.com, Q985online.com, 967theeagle.net, 1440wrok.com). Handprints also will be available on the day of the event. 

Operation Homefront-Illinois provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. 

Anyone who attends the event also will be able to view two steel beams from the World Trade Center. The beams are a key component to the Winnebago County 9/11 Emergency Responders Memorial that will be built in Rockford. Donations will be accepted on-site or online at winnebago911memorial.org.
